Re: CHANGE PANEL COLOR ?

I assume you are referring to something like Oracle 851 or similar? That should work OK, assuming your panels are nice and flat. Our last pontoon had bad graphics but the panels were dented/dinged/scratched up so I wouldn't have tried to put vinyl over it entirely.

Re: Troll motor
I'm gonna use the 15 hp that I took off the fishing boat I sold...I may be able to get it mounted by next week...eventually I'll hook up full control from the console....for the time being though it will serve dual purpose as a kicker, because I'm a little leery of the old (1972)...

Re: Troll motor

We have used a 80lb 24V Minnkota on a 22' Pontoon & Deckboat and it works great. I wouldn't want any smaller of a motor, at least for the fishing we do. We have plenty of space so the extra battery isn't an issue.

Re: New Lowe SD224 Deck Boat!
It appears to have more "V" to it than most deck boats, That should help with a better ride I would think.
It does have more "V" in the hull. I haven't rode on any other deckboats but it rides softer than many other boats I've ridden in at similar speeds. We think we've got m...

Re: New Lowe SD224 Deck Boat!

The weather wasn't really nice but we ended up putting 90 minutes on the new motor this weekend. ~60* temperatures, ~15MPH winds, and ~52* water temps. It wasn't really ideal but it went without a hitch and we caught some fish so that aint bad! We installed & networked a Helix 7, Helix 9, and have a...

New Lowe SD224 Deck Boat!

The wife and I finally bit the bullet and are upgrading our 2003 22' Fish & Cruise Pontoon to get a 2017 Lowe SD224 Deck Boat w/ 150HP Merc. Should allow us to pull skiiers/tubers behind the boat plus be a decent fishing boat. We'll have 2 fish finders (Humminbird) along with an Ipilot Link Minnkota...

Re: Frustration with Bass Tournaments

Bass aren't exactly the best eating fish. I'd assume most serious bash fisherman are catch and release?

Re: Slip rentals

I pay $1200 cash per year for a covered slip rental. Has water and power. Includes fenced storage for the trailer Includes use of the "Yacht Club" for parties.] Includes year round access to the slips for fishing. That seems pretty cheap. I wish we had the facilities around here for a covered slip ...

Re: Contact Previous Owner?

It's a 1999, right? If so I assume they are likely not the first owner. They sold it on consignment so they didn't have to mess with selling it. I wouldn't call them, personally. Its a used boat and you are happy with it so I'd change whatever fluids/parts you feel necessary and continue using it.

Re: Trolling Motor Mounting

I searched through old posts on here and found a pic/link to the mount we used: I would probably suggest looking at (2) high amp hour 27 series batteries at a minimum. We have (2) 27series AGM Cabelas batteries and they work well but I wish I had purchased 31 series off the bat. I definitely need to...

Re: rod holder for trolling

These work well for us: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001VESU56 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001M4HTNO https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001M4HT1G We have about 10 or 12 different rod positions around the boat. We used the extensions on the rear of the boat to get the rods higher up. Man...
