Re: Which Scotch Brite for de-scumming the toons?
I used those 3M hand scrubbers to each time we anchored off the beach. Worked pretty good but eventually I opted to bottom paint my toons. No more worries.

Re: truck beds and gasoline
I have a spray in bedliner in my GMC. No problems at all on mine but I have one of these gas cans. http://eagle-mfg.com/Resources/Docs/Flyers/Cantastic%20Flyer.pdf The can is a deep drawn type which means it is one piece of steel that is "drawn" to the shape of the finished product. There is no seam...
Another option is to get furniture covers and also one for your console. On my old Bentley, the crappy non-breathable cover ripped and I considered just doing furniture covers. Granted, your flooring would not be protected but that holds up pretty well.
I do have the individual...
If I read this correctly , the boat is in a slip at a marina. If the slip is a covered slip, then other than end of season lock down, I wouldnt worry about the poles being in place every time you cover it up. Thanks everyone. I'll follow these tips and figure this out when the time comes.
A couple of friends told me about the kneeling. I guess I'll wait for the Doctor on that one. Many thanks again.

Need Opinion/Solution
I'll set the stage. I will retire at the end of November this year. Soon after, I will have my left knee replaced. I am told that I will not be allowed to kneel on my left knee for the rest of my life. I have to assume that there are others on the forum that have had this done. I am wondering how I ...

Re: Powder Coat ponntoons?
My pontoons were painted with Trilux 33 for what its worth. I am in fresh water though (Lake Erie). Has held up great after 2 seasons. Probably got 2 or 3 more to go before another paint job.

Opie,
Not sure exactly where you are in Michigan. I bought my trailer in Elkhart and brought it home. Here is the web site.

Re: Need advice for pontoon buoyancy options
I don't think with a 40HP engine that you will plane. It's just not enough power I don't think. A third pontoon would still need more power I believe and larger ones should do much either, except for riding higher out of the water. I have 27" pontoons with a 90HP outboard. After a certain RPM I plow...
