Re: Trolling motor

I have a 22.5 foot Tritoon. I also have the 80 Terrova with 60” shaft. Works great. I also use an on board charger I bought from Minn Kota.

Re: How many dock lines?

I think it depends on your dock set up and the weather conditions (ie; wind and waves). If your dock cleats are positioned right for your boat, you may get away with two if the lines are angled enough. In my case at the lake I’m at, I had to expirement. The cleats were too far toward the dock ends, ...

Re: Trolling motor question

I have a 22.5 tritoon. I use a Minn Kota Terrova 80 lb thrust with a shaft at 60”. You can measure the deck to your water line to get a good idea where you want your shaft to measure. This motor works well for me.

Re: New Member, new boat, few questions

Hi Chris, Welcome to the forum. I don’t think I have any advice for you, but I will give my experience on my new similar boat, but 22.5 feet. My info is in the signature. I get about 36 or 37 mph top speed at around 5,800 rpm. As far as loading the boat onto the trailer, the few times we’ve done it ...

Re: Garmin Striker 4 Performance Question

Thanks for the replies fellas. I do have a factory 90 degree mounting platform on the two side pontoon rears for these attachments. I have also tried adjusting the transducer. Maybe this is the the best it can do. Just thought I’d check. Thanks again!

Re: BATTERY QUESTION

I brought my battery tender with me to my seasonal. Had it hooked up for an hour or more, and it was still solid red. I plugged it into the outlet the other direction and it went green. I can’t recall which red, solid or blinking means charging and which means plugged in wrong or connected to batter...

Garmin Striker 4 Performance Question

I just installed one. Like all aspects for my needs, but the depth stalls or freezes around 20 mph. I have to slow way down to get it reading again. My old Lowrance on another boat worked way past that speed. Is this normal for the Striker 4?

Re: How many boat fenders???

I’m now in my seasonal lake. Turns out they had lots of wind this last week. After some experimentation, I now have three on the dock side, and two on the other side since I’m in a double slip. I shouldn’t have anyone in that slip much, but if so I want to protect that side. I will likely add a thir...

Re: BATTERY QUESTION

I believe the Battery Tender should have kept your battery, or charged it to 100%, unless a cell or more dried up. Did you ever check your fluid levels after you had the issue? Once dead, you can’t bing it back, just wondering for a cause...

Re: 2018 Bennington - No Hour Meter!

I don’t have a Bennington, but I also was disappointed when I found out mine didn’t have an hour meter. I think I needed to purchase the next line up to get one. I bought an aftermarket one for about $10 - $12, and attached it under the engine cowling to a spark plug wire. I could have run it outsid...

Re: EZ fender

I just bought two, and may need more. I’ll know Monday when we get our boat up to our seasonal site. Then I will decide where they go and how many I need. I’m also using a different type of fender on the rear and middle, but I don’t think it will work on the front with the way our boat sits, thus th...
