Re: Newbe with a ton of pre buy questions.

Performance of the different motors also depends on what size toon you get, 2 or logs ect. My 25' Tri-toon with a 115 is fast enough to give tubers a run and throw most of them off. Top speed varies between 25 and 29mph depending on load. With 4 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 kids under 8 we run between ...

+1 Just be sure to take it on a test drive. Motors can sound great on muffs and die under load.

Re: New Honda or Yamaha 150hp?

Nope, they are both top of the line 4 strokes. Love mine and the only reason I would go with anything else is if I wanted a 2 stroke which I don't

Re: Gas theft

Just put a sign on the toon near the cap and write. "Smile for the Camera" I am evil though, I actually disconnected the fuel hose on my last boat and put a fake line in hooked to a 5 gallon bucket hidden under the sun pad. I filled the bucket with 1 gallon of gas and topped it off with sugar water....

Re: Life Jackets

South Carolina law requires all children under 12 years of age to wear a U.S. Coast Guard–approved Type I, II, III, or V PFD while on board a Class A (less than 16 feet long) vessel. The life jacket must be fastened and of the proper size for the child.

Re: Lifting strakes

Ok, so I finally got an answer from south bay and they told me that the lifting strakes would not be that much of an improvement(Kinda disagree but hey) They told me to go with the under skinning, they said that the water hitting the smooth surface under the boat would actually give me more lift th...

Re: Well they got me good!

they can rot over the winter? With 20 hours? Maybe they could explain why most pumps last 3 seasons or more? This is my 4th season (3rd Year) and 85 hours. I ordered a new pump but right now it is on the shelf as I have been too lazy to replace it and my original pump is running fine. Gauge shows t...

Not sure about the pitch but it would be a Honda prop which is a Solas with Honda stamped on it. I would be you have a 13p.

Re: Pictures of the new Toon! *** HAM ALERT

Your warranty covers manufacturer defects Nd not damage so he is just avoiding fixing it. I would complain to the manufacturer about the damage. Send a pic and tell them what the dealer told you and they will contact the dealer.

Re: Fabricating a third log

Tap Fins have got to be the greatest invention of all time. Every manufacturer out there is using them and they will make a 40hp 25' toon run 50mph... Oops sorry, I forgot I can't really relay sarcasm well in writing. 3rd Log and stakes are both good upgrades provided you have enough power to allow ...

Re: Yes another prop question.

You wouldn't notice this change in one outing. If you leave the dock with dirty toons you should see the same performance issues then.

as far as keeping them clean, pressure wash them regularly and you should be fine unless they already have allot of build up.
