Hey all,
Been lurking for a while and joined up so I can talk pontoons, get and share advice, and enjoy some camaraderie. My background with boating started with a Premier my Wife and I had for around 8 years. She was a Sunsation with a full camper (boat not Wife). We are transient boaters and hauled that thing all around Michigan. I will always remember when we told people our plans the prevailing wisdom at the time was ‘you can’t tow a pontoon to destination’. At the time we were a rarity, but we really got to see some great places.
After a time I started thinking I wanted a glass deep vee to get to destinations quicker and I thought, in more comfort. Well, that lasted three years and I am dumping the Sea Ray and going back to a toon. They are more comfortable, easy to beach and with the advancements they have made with the logs, can handle larger water.
I am going with the camper option again and am looking at adding the galley option also. So my first question is whether any of you all have a galley on your boat? Do you have an ‘ice box’ type fridge or electric? Is it worth it? I believe at the least having water and a sink a great benefit.
Thanks, Discovery.

Welcome. Although I do not have a camper type boat, I really think I would like one. I have even thought of building a separate unit with a camper on it so as to raft up both for weekends on the lake.

I could see the benefit to that. I will have to stay with the canvas so I can break it down for travel between put in's.
