Hello Everyone!!!

#1 Post by Satt » Sat Nov 22, 2014 9:12 am

Hello everyone.

My name is Jason and I just put a deposit down on an 80's model 24 foot pontoon boat!

The boat and trailer (with a good 55hp motor) is just costing me $2,000!!!

The frame and pontoons (and welds) look great and I am tearing out everything else so I feel like I am getting a great deal.

I am just waiting on a new axle for the trailer to come in and then after a test drive (to make sure the toons don't leak), I will be a new pontoon owner!

I will start a new thread as soon as I get started on the rebuild.

I look forward to chatting! :biggrin2

Satt,

Check out the rebuilds topics and you will see what I am talking about. Some of these guys make you want to buy a used toon just to rebuild it. I can't believe how some of them have come out. You would never know they were a rebuild. There is some skill out there and the great thing is they do not mind sharing. A bunch of great guys.

Welcome! Rebuilding is fun and frustrating at the same time. Don't get discouraged though the payoff is huge! Definitely check out the rebuilds! Mine is there somewhere. IF you are using pontoonstuff don't forget the discount! :nana

I have attached pictures of the boat I have put a deposit on.

It is a 1987 24" pontoon with a reconditioned 1986 Murcury Classic 50hp motor.

I am getting the boat an trailer for $2000

I have LOTS of plans for this boat.

I am ripping off all the furnature and carpet and binimi top.

If I have to I am replacing the wood.

I am custom building all new furnature, incuding a bar and loungers. (with amazing lighting)

Oh, and also, I will be creating custom graphics for the side rails.
