New Tooner

#1 Post by Tank5 » Tue Apr 07, 2015 5:48 am

The wife and I are proud owners of a new 2014 Xcursion X-23FL with a Yamaha 150 four stroke. Took it out on her maiden voyage this past weekend. Cruising around was fine at 10 mph had issues with ventilating and cutting out at WOT. Took it back to dealer hopefully just a few adjustments needed.

Welcome Tank!

Hope they get the bugs out. Seems for the money you spent someone should have done that before delivery.

Welcome Tank.... love the pic of your boat... don't worry about the issues you had... I'm sure it's just an adjustment.. you're dealer should have it taken care of in no time..

I had same ventilating problem with my new Sweetwater - basically turn out could not lower motor anymore and shaft was to short for the 27" tubes.
Dealer ended up admitting they have same problem with 27" tube Sweetwater setups.
They installed a shaft extension kit. Some good news was it was covered by warranty.
Haven't had her out yet to see the difference, just hope it's better not worst in some other way.

Likely your fix will be easier.
I'm sure their get it right for you.

Congrats! & Enjoy you New Toon
