I have a 24' PoonToon with a 90 Yamaha, looking to add a center poontoon with a fuel tank, and a 150 to 200 for the power. Will the bigger engine help much? Looking to go faster than the GREENHEADS.
Has anyone added a center themselves? Or should I have a shop do it.

Welcome, yes the bigger engine will help you go through big money fast, but then it slows down after you get it on the toon.
But that's a good ideal, fuel centered to help with weight balance and the 150 should be good for 35 or better, but I let the guys fill you in on that as mine doesn't get over 16mph unless it's on the trailer.
