greetings from glen st mary, fl
I decided to sell my airboat "at the request of my youngest grandson" and invest in a 2011 20' fiesta deluxe, 90 hp Mercury. The boat will do about 32 mph at 5800rpm. I wish I would have bought a pontoon years ago! I never realized just how much fun I can have cruising the rivers of North Fl. with 8 onboard! load the grill, buy some brauts and add a few adult beverages to the mix and life just can't get no better!! Anyways, I'm glad to be a pontooner!!

Welcome to the club, oldskool!
Another great advantage that I found out after I had the boat, is that it is sooo elderly/invalid friendly. I guess I realized it beforehand, but the concept wasn't really driven home until my severely ill father and his walker just shuffled aboard with no effort. Not long from now, he likely will need a wheelchair and boat rides will still available. That guy lived for the lake and to be able to get offshore from time to time is therapy that money cannot buy.

Re: greetings from glen st mary, fl
Welcome Oldskool,
I think we have a lot in common. We went to the boat show a few years back with my daughter, son inlaw and two year old grandson.
Not really looking for a new boat, I had a 2001 Searay at the time. My grandson wanted to go and look at a pontoon. After looking at several, He spotted a 2008 Avalon LS20, He climbed up onboard and in no uncertain terms told me I had sell my Searay and buy that boat. The rest is history. My first mate is now a 4 year old with 2 year old twins (brother and sister). I glad I made the switch to a pontoon. Nothing makes me happier then watching them on the boat telling what way to turn and asking to steer.
Enjoy ever minute......

Welcome, hope you enjoy your NEW 'toon. I have a 2005 Fiesta Fish N' Fun, and love it. Wish I had you 90hp though. Do you have any pics?
