welcome.... and just fire away with your questions.... there is a wealth of pontoon boating experience on this forum and no matter what you ask, the odd's are pretty good that you'll get several answers.... they've always helped me.

Brand new noobie here. Just drove 1100 miles each way, to get my brand new 2012 Tahoe 24' Fish-n-Fun Tritoon with a Merc 115 4-stroke. Dual Biminis, and full camper enclosure.

Pic of her in the Cloquet, MN Wal-Mart parking lot, on the way home.

New to pontoon boats, just getting our first one ready for the water! Not new to boating, we are long time sailors and active winter cruisers. We have a Morgan 41 Classic (sail) which we slip in Daytona and take over to the Bahamas for winter season. But there are so many rivers and shallow coastlines here in Central Fl. to access and we needed the perfect boat to do that. We were steered towards someone who had a used pontoon in slings over a dried up lake bed, so if we could get it out, it was ours for the taking. It's a 1998 Playbuoy FishNFun, with a Yamaha 40HP and trailer. Boy, was this thing filthy! After a week of elbow grease, here she is. We are still waiting on the three carbs that were frozen and are in the shop, but I'm hoping we splash next week sometime! Will welcome any local knowledge on some of the rivers around here, particularly the Ockalawaha past the boat basin (Ray's) towards Gore's Landing. I've heard varying reports about passability.

Greetings!

I just bought a new Pontoon and figured I'd look up fellow tooners. This is the first pontoon boat that I've owned, but I've rented a few over the years and owned several runabouts. I run a 27' Crest Upper Deck as a patrol boat at work. I'm a Lt. with my Sheriff's Office here on the Colorado River, running the Marine Patrol Division. Prior to that I was active Duty USCG for 14 years and also another 14 years as a Reservist. Retired from the CG in 2002. So needless to say, I'm not a novice boater. But I will have some questions about tooning.

Anyway here's my boat. Picked it up last Friday, but haven't taken the maiden voyage, due to work over the Holiday Weekend. I'll christen it next weekend when the River isn't so crazy.
