Hi all,

I'm Wiggydotcom.. My wife and I are in our 50s and just bought property on Beaver Dam Lake in Wisconsin last fall. We've recently
bought a new 2012 Berkshire CL210 LTD pontoon boat. We're completely new to boating and we're learning the nautical terms. :)
As I gain experience, I hope to be able to contribute as much as I ask as time goes by.

I'm a Honda Valkyrie Owner(motorcycle) and frequent one of the prominent boards on the net. I try to contribute my knowledge whenever I can.

One thing I've learned is that there is a wealth of knowledge on the forums and I thank anybody in advance for any advice they can give me.
This is pic of our boat and it does have a problem that has got the best of me so far, but more on that later.Image

Welcome!

Nautical terms:

Port = the side my wife sits on, when I'm driving the boat
Starboard = the side I sit on, when I'm driving the boat

Nobody even seems to notice that almost all boats are right-hand drive, like in England or Japan...

Bow = the nose of the boat
Stern = the back of the boat
Transom = the VERY back of the boat, where the motor is bolted on
WOT = wide open throttle - you're going to use this one.

Hull... well pontoons don't HAVE hulls, they have toons!
