Another Texan

I just found this site (working toward my first 5 posts :biggrin2 ). I picked up an '06 Bennington 2275FSI tritoon with strakes, underskinning and a F150 Yammi last winter (w/ <20 hours on her). I spent more than I originally planned (uh......yeah......Bennington??), but didn't want another project. After taking it out to the lakes a few times (Travis, Houston) and spending the night on her, I decided it needed a few mods afterall :nono (24V trolling moter, anchor winch, start battery relocate and house battery addition, AC and DC chargers, etc). Well, I'm now well into another project. :lol3 I didn't think it would take too long (or I would have waited till winter), but that underskinning is severely limiting my access to the underside (wiring, bolt holes, etc.). I'm getting there, but today's rain has me surfing the net. :coffee So, with any luck I'll be back on the water in a few weeks, and maybe hook up with some other toons from the area. I know, I know, pics - gotta (re)learn how to do that.

Have a good one, y'all.

Todd

I am not sure what you have been reading or where your reading it BUT................ those Benningtons are nothing more than death traps that will only bring heartache and financial ruin!!!!!!! The best thing for you to do is ship that boat up here to ND so I can dispose of it for you in a safe manner :nana

Thanks for the advice sammy - I don't know about the death trap yet, but I'm starting to understand the financial ruin part. :) It'll be set up the way I want soon enough. Thanks all for the nice wecome.

Just when I think I have my boat exactly the way I want it, I seem to find another project for it. Right now it is bottom painting. I sware this will be the last major project,... until I figure out the next

LOL Yeah, I have the same problem, I'm either working on a project or planning a project to work on. I need to finish this one up and get back out on the water. :biggrin2

Todd... he's telling you the truth, those benny's are very very dangerous.. That's the one great thing about the guys on this forum, we all sort of become "distant" family to one another. Having said that, tell you what I'm going to do... instead of you having to ship your death trap to North Dakota, I will come and get it ( at my own expense ) and pay you $65,000.00... No need to thank me, just helping out another boater...
