Hey everyone, I'm a diehard bassfisherman, but its time to move on. My twin girls are now 6 yrs old and I want to start spending more time with them. I need help deciding what I need in a pontoon. I'd like to be able to take 8-10 people out and not be crowded out. What length, size motor (2 stroke, 4 stroke etc..)?
Thanks,
KC

Welcome. Depends on what you want to spend, are you trailering or leaving it slip, etc. We have on average, 10 people on board the Party Cruiser. With it's upper deck and ample room, it never feels crowded. I am partial to 4 strokes, especially I/Os.

22 to 24 foot, I have a 20 footer and have no problems taking the kids fishing, you can spread them out and get to them to help them, and you got plenty of room to walk around and cast, I had 6 kids all fishing on my front deck the youngest at the time was 6 years old and I figured we be out there for an hour and they be ready to go, we were out there for 10 hours till it got so dark we couldn't see and their mom wanted to know where we were at, but the fish started biting again and they still didn't want to go home.
I like the Evinrude E-Tec 2 stroke no oil changes, no break in and will run in safe mode for 6 hours without any oil if you forget to fill oil container up before leaving.
Don't forget the remote trolling motor one with auto pilot would even be better
Oh and Welcome

Welcome to the party!
I would say a triple toon would be a good idea if you can find a good deal on one.. I have had 10 on my toon and didnt have any problems at all other than being a bit slower!

Being a Basser I don't think you will enjoy a slow toon so I recomend a Nice 3 log with lifting strakes, underskin, tow bar for tubing or sking, A nice popup changing room and portti pot. Having a lot of kids on board I would get a second battery and a combiner or selector switch and a powerful stereo. Minimum 200 hp in E-Teck - Optimax in 2 stroke or any 4 stroke.
