Looking to buy a pontoon boat in the next year or so. Would like something in the 21-24' range with 115 - 150 HP. Not sure about 3 or 2 tubes yet. Lots to learn! :scared

Yea, we're really good at spending other peoples' money--or at least telling them how to spend it. FYI: The tritoons with lifting strakes and 150 hp 4 stroke motors are the ones that really get up and go.

Welcome aboard, if you ignore the sarcastic remarks you will get a lot of good info. Of course, without the sarcasm we would lose some humorous moments.

Welcome from a former inhabitant of Penn's Woods!
There's lots of info on this forum, but you have to decide a few basic things, not the least of which is: how much do you want to spend?
Seriously, look at your family situation (number & ages of kids, if any or any planned), where you are going to use the boat, what you are going to use it for (cruising, party barge, fishing, towing kids on skis, tubes, etc.)
Once you answer those questions, you'll be well on your way to finding the toon that will meet most, if not all of the above.
Go to a local marina and find and talk to pontoon owners. We are generally friendly bunch and love to talk about our boats. Most of us will give you an honest opinion and possibly even a ride if you are seriously interested in a similar boat.
Good luck and let us know what you decide.

What part of PA. I'm from Greensburg/Pittsburgh area. Also looking for my first pontoon. Interested in comparing notes. Hoping to buy in April. Thinking about sweetwater/suntracker at this time but my minds not made up yet. No info on dealers other then one to stay away from in Pittsburgh.
