Picked up what we use to call in california a patio boat.

Found a 1988 20' Candy Kraft with a 50HP evinrude. Came with 10 life jackets, bimini top, cover, assorted other items and trailer.

I will take a picture tomorrow and post. Deck is solid all around. will have some questions on changing the prop, and maximum motor size a boat this size can take or need.

just my wife and I looking for an easy rider to float in the afternoon and evenings on Lake Wylie.

first welcome to the groupsecond the maximum size motor that you can run should be on your capacity tag

Welcome, you can buy another pontoon with a bigger engine, cheaper than upgrading the engine

Yep on engine upgrade. I found out it would be much cheaper to sell my existing toon and buy the same size with a bigger motor than it would be to up the HP on the one I have now. Not only that, but I would be putting a brand new motor on a 4 year old boat.

thanks for the kind welcome.

not looking to swap the motor, was just wondering how big a motor it could handle.

The capacity tag is missing and I can't find much info on the manufacturer.

planning on using her as she sits.

ordered a new prop because the one on it was toast.

in the process of figuring where to mount the transponder for the depth finder i picked up. I know it goes on the accessory tab on the starboard pontoon.

thanks again and looking forward to learning from you all.

Welcome aboard. On a boat that old you likely have small diameter toons which might limit motor size. 50hp may be near max.

welcome from a fellow S Clinian.

couple of things.....

you might want to speak with the SCWMR Dept. and the N.C. law. about the missing tag.

The state line runs right down the middle of Wylie. If your on the N.C. side, you will have to be N.C. legal.

Wylie is a fun lake....good fishing....

good luck...
