Newbie here

#1 Post by mobbs » Fri May 01, 2015 8:19 pm

Hello all!

I'm mobbs, I live outside of Columbus, OH. Not a pontoon owner yet but I am in the market for one and I'm doing what I can to cram as much pontoon knowledge in my BHG as I can in order to be a more informed buyer. Have my eye on a few prospects in the area and I'm looking at one this weekend, but I'll post the details on that one in another thread so as not to take up too much discussion in a 'welcome!' thread.

So...hello!

Welcome Mobbs! We like pics! so don't be shy!

You know about the two happiest days in a boaters life, right?

Then there is the definition of a boat....... A hole in the water, surrounded by aluminum in this case, into which one pours money.

Welcome! My husband and I are new to pontoons as well.

We looked at used pontoons for a while too. The more you look, the more you learn. So ask lots of questions and look at websites that sell pontoon products so you know when you found a deal.

While we were shopping, we added up all the costs to repair somebody's used boat vs. a newer one. So keep that in mind while shopping as well as the cost of a trailer if it does not come with.
