Hello from North-Western Alberta, Canada

#1 Post by Kokopelli2015 » Tue Jun 23, 2015 9:24 am

Hello! I am still fairly new to boating even though we are on our second pontoon since 2013! We had some bad luck with our first purchase, a 24' pontoon. It had cosmetic issues, guage issues, manufacturing issues like bubbling vinyl flooring, mechanically intermittent issues and to top it off the toon welds were coming apart. Negotiated with dealer/manufacturer on getting full purchase value back and apply towards an upgraded model in a different line. My learning curve was steep but I'm happy to say we are in a white with pueter (?) stripe 2014 Sylvan Mirage 8524 LZ-LES with RPT 25 performance package, ski bar, 3rd toon with in-floor storage, 1/2 camper top, 200HP Mercury Verado. Dealer forgot to install the livewell as we are avid about fishing. Other than cosmetic issues and such that dealer agreed to mend, I forsee many happy outings! We have a big family (7 sons ranging from 5 to 15 years of age) and although they are not all on same page about boating, they all love to go tubing so that's a start right?
I've joined because I have some experiences to share but also am looking to learn so much more! Customizing my boat, customizing a loader I previously purchased for my other boat and making it work on my new trailer as loading a tritoon seems a bit more tricky than the 2 toon for some reason??
I look forward to reading posts and making new friendships! :alright
