New Member Check-In

Greetings everyone from Madison, WI! I'm a new member. My husband and I are both new to boating/tooning. We recently purchased a "new to us" 2005 Misty Harbor 18' pontoon with a 40 HP Mercury motor. We've named the boat "Sophie Lou". Hopefully a picture has attached. I have a few newbie questions that I will post on the appropriate boards. Please look for them and feel free to comment. Initially I will be seeking advice on electric anchor winches and methods of loading onto a scissors type trailer. Looking forward to learning all there is to know about pontooning from the wealth of expertise you all have.

First Welcome y'all !!
Never loaded a pontoon on a scissor trailer but I have seen pictures of them wrecked. Take it easy on those turns and keep and eye on those tires and Air pressure.
Like the boat.
I used go by Lacrosse Wisconsin on the way to ST Paul to pick up 15 barges of various grains to Take south. I always wanted to pleasure boat those waters up to St Paul and down to Keokuk.

rcgtexas, I used to run from below LaCross to above Winona, and from Wabasha up onto Lake Pepin. Good runnin', watch out for wing dams..
