Been wanting a pontoon for many years. I live very near to lake Huron. Got tired of not having a watercraft. Found what I felt was a too good to pass up deal $2800 for a 1988 Darvan "Playbuoy" sport fisher on a 2003 Tennessee cantilever trailer.
Boat had new marine decking and carpet put in last year. Wood looked new everywhere underneath. Seats are only a few years old, but needed cleaning badly. They are the lower end wise type. The only item I see requiring attention in the near future is the helm (it's leaning back and and pinching at the base) I plan to do a restoration this winter. She is powered by a 85 HP 1974 Johnson (compression was 120 on all cyl, water pump worked and it starts and runs).
I named her "Toon down 4 WHAT" formal christening will commence soon. Sunday will be her sea trials. While that's being done the trailer is getting a one over to make sure everything is working right. Also some modifications. the previous owner hasn't been using the scissor portion of the trailer and as such the boat is not sitting on the trailer correctly. (hence why it's tied down in the pictures. We will be making some folding pin locks to lock the boat in place on the trailer.
And then hopefully I will get to cleaning the logs.
Never mind the flower bed. We just are redoing them and this one hasn't been gotten too yet.
