Waving fello from Arkansas

#1 Post by watchfuleye » Fri Mar 17, 2017 3:19 am

Stopping in to say hello! I've been lurking for a while now. Hubs and I retired last fall and relocated to our 'forever home' in the Ouachita Mtns of Arkansas. We are about 4 miles off Lake Ouachita and about to take delivery of our new pontoon boat in the next couple days. Haven't owned a pontoon since my Tracker in 1987. Got rid of that one in the early 90's and and picked up a SeaRay, but have been boatless since 2000.
Really looking forward to being back on the water! I'll be introducing Hubs to the joy of fishing.

I worked in Arkansas for many years--living in Memphis. I covered as far as Norfolk Lake and Greers Ferry Lake.

My sister lived in North Little Rock and had a place down at Lake Ouachita. It's quite a beautiful place. You're very fortunate to be able to retire to such a great area.

I used to see so many "waving fellows" when traveling Arkansas. After driving around the state for a work week, my wrist would be so sore since virtually everyone you drive by waves at you--and I had to wave back.

Welcome to the forum. My wife and I are new to it this past month. We have our very first boat delivered, and just waiting for spring weather to put it in up here in Michigan - 24' Bennington.

What kind of pontoon did the two of you go with? Pictures when you can...? Enjoy your retirement and the new home near the lake!
