New guy here

Looking for my families first boat for use @ Lake Havasu mainly, and leaning towards a pontoon or deck boat. Doing lots of research.

Myself and my family (wife and 3 kids) bought our pontoon about a month ago. Never thought I would have one! Now, I can never imagine having anything but a pontoon!

Can't vouch for a deck boat, but I don't think you can go wrong with either. It is good to have choices so your purchase can be tailored to your family.

Best of luck in your research!

WELCOME,
Lake Havasu, isn't that the one with the London Bridge?
Anyway, if you decided on a pontoon this is a great forum for info.
Here's how I solved the which boat dilemma, I just got two boats.
Bought used and cheap and fixed them up.
Seadoo jet boat for going real fast, skiing, tubing etc.
and a little Landau Castaway 18 Pontoon for fishing, relaxing, party with friends kind of stuff.
Works so far.
Gotta pick one, Pontoon for sure.

If you talk to honest dealers They'll tell you pontoons out sell them 50 to 1, at least. I think there's a reason. Nothing against them I looked at them as well, It use to be speed that pushed people to them, Not the case anymore.
