New pontooner from Florida

#1 Post by cody0707 » Tue Jul 18, 2017 8:48 am

Hello all from N. Florida. I just recently purchased a 1995 24' Harris Sunliner powered by a 150 Yamaha. I am looking to learn from you who are more knowledgeable on how to setup everything on this boat for maximum enjoyment.

First thing is to change bearing grease in the trailer hubs. You don't want any surprises.

Second is to change the impeller in the Water pump. Have the lower unit pressure and vacuum tested to make sure the seals are good. Then change the lower unit grease and a fuel separator cartridge if applicable.

Take it to the lake cand see if it will hit the 6000 rpm redline. That is to see if it is propped right.

Welcome to the Forum. Lots of good info here. Even though there is some broken stuff as far as the forum goes. It is still a great place IMO
