Introducing myself and my project

I've been reading this forum for a few days and I'm impressed! I wanted to introduce myself and my project. My name is Chandler and I've purchased a well used 1993 Aloha GS 240. It has a good running Force 90hp. I'm a master mechanic and I'm ready to dig into this thing. It needs all new uphostery, a console and carpeting. The floor seems solid but I'm sure that will change when I get everything stripped. It's currently in the water in Windham, NH waiting for me to borrow a trailer and go get it. I paid $1300 for it so I've got a few bucks to spend on it.

Looking forward to picking a few brains .

Looks like a fun project, is that a bench seat on the back? (blue and high up)

Welcome, you have some work ahead of you but it will be fun! Is that your pontoon platform in the background too?

The blue thing in the back is supposed to be a sun pad :lol3 It has a straight bench across the back. I'm going with the "L" seating in the back, eliminating the table and the flip flop seat. I'll probably relocate the table to the corner of the new seat.

The picture I attached is of the boat at it's old home....It's actually still there! I'm leaving on vacation for two weeks and as soon as I come home, I'll be running up to get it and bring it home where it will sit until it's all shiny and new and ready for the water.

There were two reasons I bought this one. One was the price...and the other was the brand. I have heard..and read...that Aloha made some sturdy boats.

Just wanted to give you guys an update. I was supposed to pick up the boat this weekend. I was to borrow a friends trailer but it turned out it was for an 18 foot 'toon. That was out. My next idea was to use a friends ramp truck but after thinking about it, I was afraid I would stress the boat too much, not to mention the possible damage to the bottoms of the pontoons on the diamond plate on the truck....So, I bit the bullet and contracted with a boat hauler to get the boat this Thursday. He's using a lifting trailer and will be able to set the boat on blocks in my yard.

I can't wait to begin the deconstruction!
