New to Pontooning in Florida

#1 Post by Marineengineer » Tue Dec 01, 2009 6:03 am

Hi All,

Just purchased a 1999 Landau DX-24 Castaway with a 1998 Yamaha 90 HP outboard. :nana Looking for any information like an owners manual for the boat. I picked up the boat from a consignment dealer, so other that the basics on how to operate the boat, didn't get a whole lot of information about these boats.

Anybody know much about these Landau boats?

Welcome, have you tried calling Landau for an owner's manual ? There isn't much to them, Tracker's manual is very general and not specific to the model. It's one size fits none... :rofl

The engine manuals are much better.

BMR is right. I downloaded a Bentley manual from their site when I bought my boat used. It pretty much told me I had a boat, with two pontoons, a steering wheel and to always where my life jacket.

Most anything on a boat that you would need a manual for is aftermarket so you might try the manufacturers. Much like my camper with 25 owners manuals from 25 different manufacturers for everything from the potty to the fridge.

Welcome to the Forum! Post some :pics when you get a chance.
