Welcome, my first choice was the Fishin' Barge, but eventually went with the Party Barge, same motor. You'll love it. :thumbsup

I initially was torn between the Party barge and the fishing barge, the party barge was equipped with the 115 four stroke but no live wells, fishing seats or changing room.

I really wanted the 115 merc, but didn't want to order one and wait.

Hope to put it in the water soon, just got it registered. I still need to install the fish/depth finder.

Mike

New to the forum. Lots of good info here. No toon as of now, had an 88 bass buggy with 40hp, too slow. Looking for ideas on fun boat now, thinking about 22-24' with 150

Thanks! I'm in Bradenton and my 2007 22ft Bennigton fishing model never has seen fresh water! (except at home rinsing the engine). Lot's of salt water pontooner's here in Bradenton, and lot's of great water to explore, have fun fishing, swimming, and just plain fun.

Hi, I have been lurking here for a while to get ideas for my 1988 Intec Island Cruiser. Apparently Intec was only in business for 1 year. My dad and I bought this a few years ago as a project. The previous owner had stripped it down to just the bare deck with the rails unbolted. We already had a trailer and motor from a previous boat. We put in new carpet, seats from a Bentley, and a Bimini top.
Fast forward a few years. Dad let it sit in the sun on some hunting property and he and his fishing buddies really made a mess of it.
Now I am looking to get it back in shape. Gonna recover the seats, get a new console, and just make it as nice as I can for the wife and I as a cruising/ party boat.

By the way, I was a member of another pontoon forum years ago and recognize a bunch of names here. I forgot what name I used back then.

Hi from SC,
Have been a member for a couple of months and finally got my new toon, Had plenty of sailboats before but this is my first pontoon. Really enjoying this boat , just sit back and cruise. Attached is a pic of my new baby. Its a 2015 Sun Tracker 20DLX with a 90 hp Mercury Command Thrust. Just completed the first oil change and performance is pretty good. Tops out at 29 mph with a full tank and my wife and I. Wasn't looking for a speedboat , getting to old for that. Have enjoyed this site and picked up a lot of info to help us along the way.

Just checking in, Currently have a 1997 Aquasport 26' Osprey CC, and have been playing with the idea of switching over to a Tri-Toon, so I thought this would be a good place to start? Living in Pensacola, retired Navy, and love the waters out here. But I find myself getting off-shore less and less, both because of the ridiculous fishing regulations and cost for an off-shore fishing trip. My wife and I and friends are doing more cruising and hanging out at the various islands along the ICW. We had a pontoon several years ago, a 21 ft with a 90, but I really like the newer Tritoons with bigger power. I have not been on one yet, but hear they are a great ride, and do a lot better in choppy stuff than the pontoons. I want to stay on the salt water scene, so I think one the tri's will suit our needs better. Looking forward to hearing opinions.

Welcome friend! That looks like a nice rig! Hate to see you loose it, but I TOTALLY understand the Chicken shit regs for offshore fishing.

I love my boat for fishing salt water and fresh. You might want to look at the fishing set ups, they are really nice and you can cruise with em too.

Thanks for the welcome, yeah, I'm on the fence with this, I have spent a lot of time and a few dollars on my boat getting it customized out the way I like it, and it runs perfectly. The ideal world would be for me to find a tri-toon hull that I could build up, make it the way I want it, then rig my 250 yammi on the back of it, then sell the aquasport no engine. I just know I want all stainless hardware on my toon, the one we did have was made for FW and all the fasteners were rotting off. Just never understood that, in a production environment for boats, regardless of the intended use fasteners should be stainless, and the overall cost difference would not be that much more when purchasing in gross qty.

Howdy Ya'll! Oklahoma Newbies with a hand me down '85 18' Sun Tracker Bass Buggy that we are toying with the idea of rebuilding but loving spending time on the water with our kids as she is. Love reading all the posts on here and have retained some awesome ideas and information for use later when/if we do end up tearing into her.

Hello all,

Name is Travis and new to the pontoon world. I have always wanted to own one and never really interested in speed boats or anything like that. I like to enjoy the water with as many people as possible. I have always felt that someone was going to be left out with anything else. So I went after the biggest boat that I could afford. I ended up with a 1986, 28' Sun Tracker Party Barge with a 1996 Mercury 100hp outboard. I will post pics soon. I look forward to being apart of this group and can't wait to learn some stuff...I have lots of questions!!

By the way I live in Tulsa, OK
