Pontoon Boat & Deck Boat Forum

Hi

My name is bob and I am a retired snow bird type and for the purpose of the forum I have just purchased a 2006 Tracker Party Cruiser 32 w/ 115hp Optimax and it will live on the intercoastal waterway in melbourne Beach Florida.


It is in very good shape and only has 16.1 hours on the motor (previous owners wife passed away not long after he got it and has had it in covered storage since 2007)

The one issue it has is the prop is not correct and when you go full throttle (wot) you exceed the max rpm for the motor and it alarms.

So, does anyone on here have a simular set up and can give me advice on the correct prop?

Typically with the 115 you would need a 13p for a starting point, but with the additional weight of the party cruiser not sure how much that would change things. The good news is merc has a good selections of props for different applications. Mirage Plus, Vengeance, Enertia come to mind but their are others. Welcome ! I have the same boat, but mine's an I/O so I can't help on the prop issue. Great boat though, you'll love it.

I found the peop needed and ordered it. it's a 14" x 13 pitch with the 'elephant ear' style type for pontoon boats.

My next question is for anyone with this type of boat is placement and wire routing of a genset. I have a honda eu3000i which i am going to use which should allow me to turn on anything as long as the wife .... oh maybe i should not go there ...

anyways.... just looking for what others have done and found best for them before i start trying different placements

I use a Honda 2000i, not permanently installed. I just put it on the upper deck and plug directly into the breaker panel outlet under the sink/stove.
