Intec was a roofing empire that bought a small Groves, TX deck boat company. They produced boats for one year then closed up shop. Any ideas why? Tax write-off?
This is a well constructed boat, ridged welding, and high quality materials in the frame and decking. All of the soft goods are shot and I am now (concurrently), stripping off the old carpeting and polishing the pontoons. Loads of fun, right.
I used the Toon Brite acid wash which worked well on a 22 year old boat ... it is all "white," but clean. Next I used fine steel wool soaked in mineral spirits to cut the white down to a smooth, almost reflective surface. Then I use Mothers Aluminum Polish on a buffer to make it like a mirror. Cut it all down again with thinner on a clean cloth then plan to shoot Sharkhide twice.
Will this work? It looks good in the shop. ^_^
Any recommendations on replacing the furniture? Lots and lots to choose from, some looks reaaly cheap tho.
Thanks ... glad I found this site.
