Re: "Noodle" This!!
Thats for sure a whale shark...BUT...
I have seen some 50 lb cats that have been noodled...I use to run across the noodlers when I was bowfishing in Oklahoma sometimes. I would always just stand back and watch...they are a crazy bunch...borderline insane to stick your hand or foot into a hole in the side of a river and let the things bite you so you can pull them out...especailly some of the heavy debris rivers in Oklahoma...

Re: "Noodle" This!!
In my younger days, I went with my uncle and his family to go fishing. I didn't have any equipment and they said come on, ya don't need any. I thought I was going to borrow theirs. I was wrong.
They talked me into try noodling as you catch only the keepers. The pond had fairly steep slopes, and we worked around the edges by treading water, holding onto the grassy bank with one hand, and feeling around the bank face with the other. When you came to a hole, you slowly inserted your hand and wiggled your fingers. The idea is that catfish would "swallow" your hand, you grab what you can, and then flop the beast on the bank, to hopefully knock it out until the bank guy got it and cleaned it. You could put your "fishing hand" in the blood/guts to the fish to react quicker.
So, there I was, one hand in the hole, wriggling my fingers, and then all sorts of pictures flashed. Supposed it was a muskrat hole, what if there was a big ole snake . . . ? About then I feel this slimy feeling slowly engulfing my hand. Survival instincts quickly kicked in and I jerked my hand out.
Over 50 years later, and I still have the scars

all the guys I knew or saw doing it always had arms full of scares...I would hate to get a hold of a beaver or a big old snapping turtle also...
