Trolling for stripers

#1 Post by Glide40 » Wed Jul 15, 2015 4:27 am

Has anyone ever tried the Redi Rig instant down rigger, release floats or planer floats? I would like to troll deeper, but don't want to go to the expense of adding the clunky down riggers. Any advice?

Ill be curious about this also--
I use the hellpet rig for hybrids/sandies, was looking at "Jet Divers " but I haven't pulled the trigger on one yet-
I often wonder if Jimmy really did crack corn, and why should I care?

I've used a dipsy diver. Works pretty well.

I also use the dipsy divers. The work well, but make sure you use atleast 50 lb braid. They(dipsy divers) go straight down to depth you want. I used them on lake quacita in the summer to reach the stripers. You can put anything you want behind them and they troll straight. Good luck
