Thanks for the link fredeboy.

I do want them for fishing...I have the floating lights and a submersible light but just can't see my rod tips.

I used to try fishing from my boat using a Coleman lantern for lighting. And over a period of several attempts I made one very big and annoying observation. They draw a huge amount of very undesirable "Bugs" to both my boat and lantern. Your experience may be better but I gave up the Coleman for the bugs myself.

I agree with Bamby on the bug issue. Much better plan is mount green led strip right above the pontoons. Good light and few if any bugs. :thumbsup
Here is a link to the best place I have found: http://www.wildcatlighting.com/power-fishing-boats.html

I was looking for these the other day. Here is what I found. Granted you may have the bug problems like were mentioned above, the only resolution for that is to put reynolds wrap on the back side of your lantern so that the bugs will hopefully stay to the front of the lantern.

I found these on ebay

Dear rarnall,
Do you sell the lantern holders separately? If so, how much are they and what is shipping?
Thanks

Years ago when we night fished I used Rebar with a hook bent in the end and hung on our DriftMaster rod holders

kind of new here , but all I do is night fish , I stopped using a lantern years ago, big cats will shy away from visable light, when I stopped using one my cats started getting bigger and more of them, I switched to a black light and florscent line, you can see ever twitch of the lines, and all most no bugs, on a moon bright night you wont catch as many , and with no moon it gets a lot better, give it a try

I don't use any light except for baiting and removing fish. To see my rod tips I attach small glow sticks to them. 1 1/2 or 2 inch are good.

Here is what I finally came up with. Easy to set up and no holes to drill and can be used on almost any part of the rail. The lanterns are below the rail so bugs are not an issue!

We poor boy it, but get pretty good results by painting the rod tips white. The white shows up alot better.
