Well I couldn't help myself I had to set the new seats on the boat and see what kind of room I'm gonna have for the setup I'm using. Everything looks great and fits nicely, there is enough room in the stern but getting to the port side fishing seat is a Lil tight but with some modification to the side gate it's gonna be alot better! Here's some pics, nothings bolted down it's just sitting there!

Here's my Lil buddy, he seems to like the new seats and floor as much as me

Sure did, got 5 total counting the captain seat but that on has a slider/adjustable height stand the fishing seats have the regular swivel stands. I didn't want to drill the holes for the fishing seats stands yet, that's why they are just sitting there! :lol3

I've been working on my rails lately, since I changed my layout to a fishing set up my stern rails didn't work the way they where so we redid them. I also built my new sundeck frame out of aluminum square tubing and am going to wrap it in plywood. Since I added all this in the rear my console moved up and I lost my gate and didn't want it behind the console not being able to use it so I cut it out and redid the rails there also. I plan on painting the fence frames and rub rail and installing new Panel in the fence. Here some pics

This is the gate I cut out with the patch pieces just wedged in there

This is my sundeck the evening I got it back from my welder

Here's the patch pieces welded in today also notice the new supports

This is the new fence frame we built for around the engine

These are the stern area with the sundeck frame in there to see what kinda room Im gonna have, I think it's all gonna work out great

Did you paint the fences with a roller or something else?

I painted the old wall skins red using krylon primer and paint, I didn't use a self etching primer just the plain stuff I picked up at walmart!it's held up great but I plan on doing the fence frame the right way with etching primer!

I've been working on my boat but it's been slow and not really worth posting but the other day I removed the old wall skins and wrapped the new sundeck frame with wood, I also got a goot start on the stand for the console and captain seat. I'm using a teak wood for the top of the raised helm stand and I'm just gonna use carpet for the sundeck for now later on I'll get it wrapped with vinyl. I hope to get all my rails sanded and ready for paint tomorrow, Im also planning on ordering my wall skins tonight or tomorrow. As soon as I get the skins in progress will speed up dramatically! I've also got a good start on my wrap design, I've been emailing a company back and fourth trying to get it perfect and it's getting close so I'm pretty happy!

I've been sanding like crazy here latley, vie been trying to get my fence frames worthy of some new paint. I finally got it sanded and bought some good paint and primer today, my father in law (painter by trade) stopped by today to shoot some color for me.

This is a good shot of everything painted except for the rub rails and my front gate that I'm going to modify to fit over the trolling motor when it's stowed

If all goes well I'll make a ton of progress this weekend, finish the painting, then I can install my rail paneling in the frames and bolt down the fence and rub rails on the boat. After that is done it will be all down hill from there!

Thanks Ed, you should. I fish from mine all the time and it works great! With all the additions I'm adding it should really help solve the few problems I had! The greatest thing I've added is the trolling motor its awesome for fishing around docks, downed trees and any kind of structure I want to troll around. I'm also strongly considering a power pole, it would be awesome to troll up to something and drop the power pole and stop in my tracks and fish that area!

Progress progress progress, got most of my fence panels installed today! Ill say it has been the hardest thing ive done so far and if I never do it again it's too soon! With that said it looks great, there was a few spots that the panel didn't lay as flat as I would have liked but most of it will be covered by couches. The worst part was the corners. I got a few pics hopefully soon I'll have them mounted on the boat and can start mounting my seats.

I still have the tops to finish and the front gate but it still needs some mods for the trolling motor to fit.

I worked on my rails more today, didn't finish because work today went longer than expected so I didn't have much time this evening. As of now the back half of the rails are done, I also added some of the aluminum trim to hide the splice in the panels.. Here's some pics

You can see in this pic how much is done

Image

Here is a few pics of the splice and the trim

I still haven't bent the channels back, I guess I saving that for the last thing to do!
