Yeah, Pam is nice to have around whe needed. The nice thing about Pam is that she seems to disappear when you are done with her.

I'm not saying let's go kill all the stupid people.. I'm just saying let's remove all the warning labels and let the problem work itself out.

Hmmm. Better get moving. This particular snow may stay around for a bit...like about 5 months :scared

Fortunately, I am about ready for phase 27. Outdrive and swim platform are on.
SouthBay needs to redesign their swim platform mounts. The damn thing took three of us THREE HOURS to put it on. Grrrr. The outdrive took about 20 seconds.

Large wiring in rear is mostly done. I know it looks a mess. It'll get cleaned up.
All wire is tinned marine grade. Combination of breakers and monster in-line fuses.
All wires 6AWG and heavier have ring lugs crimped AND soldered on them.
A number of extra wires pulled and laying around for future upgrades including
autopilot, trim tabs, captains call, windlass, washdown pump/weapon. Note the Automatic Combining Relay at top of board. This is the fourth boat that I have put one of these on and I love 'em. I don't use a 1/2/both/off switch. My motor starting battery NEVER runs down. I can run the monster stereo until the deep cycle is dead if I want and still start up and go home...all without even thinking about it.

Today, I start moving boats around...thank god. Tomorrow, I am going to perform transplant surgery on the wheelhouse. This will be the THIRD boat for that dang thingy....proof that yes indeed, you CAN polish a turd :biggrin2

About time you got back to work. Have you considered plumbing in a heater from the inboard to the wheelhouse yet? I keep joking with my wife that it would be nice on some of those chilly cruises to be able to crank the heat up. You got a bit more snow that we did, just a dusting but the temps have been hovering around 20°f for the last couple days.

I thought about it, Ron. No need really. I have a Little Buddy propane heater mounted on the wall already. With the insulation I installed last year, I can now cook myself out in the spring and fall.

I wanted to get as much done in the pole shed as I could, as it was MUCH easier wiring for hours on end when the boat was on tires and the deck was at waist level. No heat there tho. I spent a lot of time in full winter gear. I got by with my hands using a little trick that I used in the bands when we played cold outdoor gigs: I used driving gloves with the fingers cut off and then taped 'hot paks' to the backs of my hands. Works great when you need dexterity in the cold. Hell, the wrenches hardly stuck to my fingers then :lol3

Once I get the shack moved, the boat will be too tall for any of my buildings and will go into the previously mentioned RoundTop for the winter (I might need a shoehorn and some more Pam to get it in there). Then three top priorities:
1. Lights
2. Heat
3. Big-ass tunes :guitar :ak47 :boohoo
Not necessarily in that order.

Once I get that sub bumpin, I can really get some work done. Lots of work all winter in the shack then. All new breaker panels, motor controls, gauges, weapon controls etc....

I can easily see why, JT. 76 is pretty sluggish

A 27' Baja with twin 496's beat me this summer, on top end. But just barely. So I need just a little more. JT

MOVING DAY! Note that this thread started with one of these logs as a jig to bend the underskin. Repurposing rules. I have more plans for those logs too.

ON THE MOVE

A SUCCESSFUL TRANSPLANT SURGERY!

THE PATIENT HAS BEEN MOVED INTO RECOVERY AND IS RESTING COMFORTABLY WHILE THE ANESTHESIA WEARS OFF.
I, on the other hand, am just beginning to self administer anesthetic. :drink

There will be little to look at for the next few months. Mostly small wiring etc...I'll catch up this thread in the spring when it is time for sea-trials :scared
Have a wonderful winter guys, except for those of you with boats still in the water, I hope it rains every day
