We were thinking about that too, but we get it going first, get some use out of it and worry about it later but we are getting close, now we back to waiting on the boat guy to strap the tank down, do the final rigging and make sure the engine is running, then we can water test it

OK the boat guy got busy and didn't get us on the water with the last few things he needs to do, but then we figured that would happen, but then he and us want to make sure everything is right.

Ladybug is ready to go and got some dry boating in, I was working last week getting the lights, horns, battery and fuel filter put in, Ladybug was hanging close by every time I went up and down the ladder, so I put her up on deck, she walked around and checked every thing out, then found her spot and laid there till I got finished a few hours later and few times I think I heard her making boat noises :rofl .

Image

fuel filter we put on, it will support two tanks and engines

Image

Battery and horn relay put in, then put the horns inside the motor pod and got all the lights put on and working

Image

Image

Then slid the axle back to adjust for the heavier engine, it was easy, loosen up four u-bolts and slide it where you need it

Image

Maybe next week you get to see some pics of the water test :prayer

OK picked the boat up and put the seats in except for the two front Captains seats and took it to the lake with the dogs

Image

Now I know I had the steering right when we sent it to the shop for him to finish with the engine, I guess they decided to work on my steering, because when I left the dock in reverse, cranked it hard left to head out, hit the gas and took a hard right, WTF, dam his brother must have been working on it again.

I don't think we have the right prop, if the tack was right I was doing 6600 RPM, but we did hit 22 MPH,now we need to play with some props, I know we have a lot of people running Merc 90's I just wish someone would look at their props and tell me what they are using to get me close.

Image

Once I got use the backward steering, it wasn't to bad, it was nice just having her back on the water for a shake down ride, it was a first for my brothers new dog, he was hanging over front, we finely had him stand up and hang his head over the fence instead

Image

Lady bug was laid back playing it cool,

Image

My brother and I split the time driving, it was fun till we had no steering, again WTF, looked under the dash and the cable came out of the box, so got it back in and I thought we got it snapped it. worked for a while till my brother tried to put it on the trailer, so there he was holding off the dock but can't get to it, finely we got it loaded and will be working on that tomorrow and a few more things, but I got my deck wet anyway.

You win!!! Nice I am glad you got her wet!!!

My 115 has a turning point 14x13, should be real close. Your tool is smaller and lighter than mine so a 15 may be about right!

Good to see that somebody had sea-trials go sort of smoothly (with the exception of the steering).
I'm still in hot contention with Craig for the 'Latest Launch Trophy'. Sold all my other boats, so I'm down to just half a boat now....begging rides from my luckier buddies.

Thanks Man, coming from you that means a lot, we got the Bimini , graphics on, we put one the Captains Chairs on, we ran out of bolts for the seat base on the other one, but do have the floor bases in, so we are getting close to getting every thing done.

My brother's family woke him up and had the toon filled up and ready to go, so they spent the morning on the Lake than we all took Dad out to dinner in Lakeland later at five, my sister just got into to town to see what we did to her new house, so her and the brother n law was there too, so it was a good Fathers day for all.

Changed a little bit since April
