Looks awesome Ty. The underskin you installed looks factory. That's one thing I've been wondering how to do on my boat

I had the machine shop roll it. I don't think it cost any more in labor then have them break a 90 degree, and it looks factory. Now the cost of aluminum right now...that's a different story!

Man, I'm telling you I can't win for loosing right now. Decided to tinker a bit again last night, do some preliminary trimming of the under skin and check steering bracket clearance with the motors up. Turned on the power assist unit, started turning to port, and BANG. A fricking brand new steering line BURST. You can't even imagine the mess it made. It's going to take an entire weekend just to recover from this set back :(

Sorry to hear about the issues.

if it makes you feel any better, my boat has been in the shop for the last week + getting the motor looked at. Keeps starting and then dying.

Bummer Ty.
I assume you are using the proper molded hoses. Major setback, between cleaning up the mess and then all the fun of filling and bleeding a double steering system. I have enough fun doing it with my single. After about my third time, I finally broke down and wrote up a 'quick card' and laminated it for future use.
On the plus side. The rolled skin looks nice. You didn't even need to borrow my home-made jig! Now to beef up your grip after squeezing off 10,000 rivets, or are you using self-tappers? Either way, you get to subsidize your diet with some tasty aluminum :biggrin2
Sure brings back the memories to me, some good, some not so much.

I bought OE Seastar hoses. Good news is the guy is over-nighting me a new set for free...bonus. And man are you right about the mess. It blew so hard it sprayed over the center tube and full coated the under side and all 3 tubes in about a 2' area. Between all the cleaning and all the self tappers on the skin I'm sure I'll be plenty done with squeezing between those tubes :lol3

I never realized how tight it is with three tubes... I'm not a very big guy and I'm flexible and it's still a pain to get in between those tubes
