Waterlogged

I probably should have started this thread when I got my toon about a year ago but no time like the present.
I finally broke down and bought a new SeaStar steering assembly. I used it with the existing mount on the helm and a steering wheel from a unit I scrounged that was too short. After a few hours and two trips to the hardware store it went together really fast... once I had the right length bolts. If I had used all the new parts it would have all worked with the parts that came with it but I wanted to use the cast aluminum piece already on my helm.Image

It really steers easily now so if I go overboard the Admiral can do something other than smile and wave goodbye.

Today I installed a Combo GPS/Fishfinder, a used tach, and a power port., all pretty simple but of course another trip to town (10 miles) for the right size hole saw.

I still have to go to the welding shop to get a mount made for the sonar on the fish finder and find a couple small holes the toon named itself for;-)

Still looking for a better 11P prop for a '80 70hp Johnson.
Looks like I need to work on picture size.

A little air in the tunes and I found leaks on all 4 corners at welds...just sprayed a little dish detergent mixed with water. Welding shop has an opening in about a week.
