Hello, has anyone bypassed the quick disconnect at the cowling cover and hooked up the fuel line after the bulb directly ? Thanks Jim

Sure, not an issue make sure to use hose for gas and try to use clamps that wont "cut into" hose.
Do not use vacuum hose, because its cheaper...
