Pontoon panel material

#1 Post by KennyT84 » Sat May 16, 2020 5:19 pm

I removed the rotten furniture from my pontoon boat. Now I have some exposed areas in the storage area that I would like to cover. What kind of material is normally attached here? Is there anything sold in a 4x8 sheet that I could cut down to size and rivet on? Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

sky is the limit i guess.

Sheet metal aluminum or steel which you could get pre colored from a place that does metal roofing, just get it before its formed, i use Lyons roofing they are local for me

Luaun plastic boarding from big box stores, used in brooms and kitchens

You could use king Starboard. It's pricey, but you can buy sheets and cut it yourself or have it precut to your exact specs. I've used these guys before with good results https://www.tapplastics.com/product/pla ... rboard/526

If you really want an amazing look. Boat Outfitters can make just about anything you want. They do amazing work. https://www.boatoutfitters.com/build-yo ... -boat-door

Boat Outfitters made this cabinet for my boat completely from scratch based on a rough hand drawn sketch I gave them. Of course, they produced CAD drawings for my approval before they began construction.
