Re: 19 inch logs
Nope bigger is better, more flotation from the 23 inch toons, but you could still add another one to help with the flotation, should have a limit tag some where.
But you can still have all kind of fun, just a few less people than if you had bigger toons, but even my 20 foot with 23 inch toons you have to move the weight to the back, where if I had a tri-toon I could let people sit up front without plowing water or going submarine on you .
Welcome glad to have you with us and let see some pictures of you having fun on the toon.

Re: 19 inch logs
19 is pretty small compared to today's toons. What brand, year, ect. IMO a 24 with 19's should carry 8 plus equipment. Loading evenly is a must. No advantage to small logs that I can think of.

Re: 19 inch logs
i guess you might save on sharkhide.
pa dum bum pshhhhhhhhh
i think my logs are about 21 or 22". i wish they were bigger.
at least they're made of nice thick aluminum from back in the
day when they made things right.
how many people will depend on what your furniture and gear
weigh. i used to carry all sorts of tools and spare parts on the
boat even for a day trip to a nearby lake. now i do what a
friend suggested--keep that stuff in the truck, so i have it, but
not on the boat. i do keep it all onboard when i'm on the
mississippi or on lake michigan, but then we have less people.

Re: 19 inch logs
Here is the capacity of pontoon logs at different diameters and lengths. Remember this is total capacity which includes the deck, furniture, gear, motor, bodies, etc.
Capacities are for both logs half submerged. When you are more than half submerged the additional capacity you can add to the boat is dramatically reduced.

Re: 19 inch logs
Dam I got 26 inch pontoons no furnture so I can carry 19 ft people on my 20 ft standing room only LOL.
I try to keep it to 10, maybe 12 if the girls leave their suits off to save weight
