SS Cleats courtesy of PontoonStuff

#1 Post by curtiscapk » Fri Jun 26, 2015 8:47 am

I got four Stainless Steel cleats for my rebuild. Since I have the full playpen fence they wouldn't fit between my fence and rubrail.
Pontoonstuff has a new design I am going to try that should fit.

I'll let one of you guys have the bigger ones if you think they will fit.

First come first served. All it will cost you is pics once they are on.

I'll cover shipping.

Curtis, is that an offset design? Do you know the bolt length? The only place that I can mount a rear cleat is centered on the lower rail as the side frame extends to the rub rail. I made, but have have not yet installed, a tie down using an EZ Fender and a SS eyebolt bent 90 degrees (thanks Bryan for helping me with that). An offset cleat would look better than my creation.

are you talking about the new style or old ones? I can measure everything for you on the old ones. I won't have the new ones until next week.

Sorry. The new style. The old style won't work. I need clearance behind the cleat for the rope to slide thru. The only space I have is the 1-1/4" width of the side panel frame. I thought that if the new style was angled somewhat that it might work,

Got it. Ill probably won't have time till next week to send them though.

I did get two of the new ones installed. I had to offset one so it would clear the rail for a caribiner. It's barely noticeable so I am good with it. I have loops every 10 ft. in my anchor ropes and every ft in my dock lines I just put the biner in the cleat and snap in the loop, even the admiral and deckhands know how to do that! I wish the camera wasn't so foggy but you get the idea. There are 2 pics of my sides my G-Daughter helped clean as well.

Oh yeah and the admirals pond back at the campsite!
