Pontoon botom painting for the salt

#1 Post by terrygar » Fri Nov 20, 2015 4:06 pm

I have a new 23 Landau Atlantis that is coming to Florida where I live. I need it bottom painted , it will live on a lift but I need protection. Any tips or info on what to use or who does the best work. I know that I will have to put it in the water to mark the water line, or is there a better way using design info from the manufacturer?

I had my toons painted three years ago will have to have it done again before I put it back in the water next year. Most important is the paint can't have a copper in it. I had mine done at a boat shop. It does make a big difference when it comes to barnacles sticking to the toons and makes it very easy to clean when out of the water.
