Bimini frame connections at pontoon rails

#1 Post by MOHAVEMAN1 » Sat Jan 23, 2016 6:36 am

Just had a dbl bimini made for PB 24 Looks great and yes had a zipper installed Looking at frame
1" square aluminum tubing ( Carver) all fitting including connections at rail are nylon and wow does this baby (frame ) sway. Here in colorado river country wind blows hard alot of the time. When I look at these nylon fittings and connections at rail this wont last a season . I told upholstry man I want all metal connections at rails and at top of dog legs supports. I think this will defintely help stabilize frame? Anybody out there (PF) had same issue? Tnx to all Oh yeah dbl bimini ( 2) 8' footers long by 102" wide and 48" tall he has to raise the frame taller I am 6' 6" and all Sunbrella Great job sewing and fabric but he mess up frame height shud be 54" high We will see how this turns out tnx again to all

Maybe something like this? The same receiver is mounted to the side of the rail for clipping a fender.

I see Overtons has the parts you need. Not the style that Zoom has, but the older style. Basically, your just looking for trailering struts, right? I may have some 1" tubing from my old boat. How long do you need them? If I have them, just pay for the shipping.

The stainless bimini fittings were OEM from Harris. Sorry, but I don't know who manufactured them.
