Active Subwoofer

#1 Post by wickerbill » Mon Mar 07, 2016 12:25 pm

The Clarion stereo installed on my boat does a pretty good job through the mid-range spectrum but lacks a bit in the bass end. I'm contemplating installing a powered subwoofer to fill out the area that is missing. Been looking at a 8" amplified Bazooka unit. Anyone running a subwoofer set-up? Are they big power hogs? Is it worth the trouble?

Thanks

Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me, I want people to know 'why' I look this way. I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved.

I'm also thinking of getting the same Bazooka tube. Hope some will have reviews/comments on it. I believe the 8" model has a choice of two wattage outputs. I think the newer model has more power.
