Netting for fencing?
Was looking at a hand rail at a store the other day that used a rope fish net material between the top and bottom rails. Anyone ever try it for fence panels? Just wondered what it would look like on a pontoon. Maybe the Asian carp would see the net and jump the other way!
Re: Netting for fencing?
I like the idea for the same reason netting and SS wire are popular on deck rails--the view. I'd be concerned the wind & splashing could get annoying, though.
I've also thought about grommeted coated-canvas panels rope-lashed to the rails.

Use of netting would expose the back and underside of your couches, lounges, or however your boat is configured.
Many sailboats use netting from the life rail to the deck, but they're not trying to hide the backside of seating.

Re: Netting for fencing?
Really wouldn't expose my boat to anything. I use mine for cat fishing only. I have one chair and one large box for my gas tank, batteries, and tackle. The deck only gets used to haul my camping gear and dogs.
I like the canvas idea. Wonder how it would hold up the the elements? I switched my fencing to FRP panels a couple years ago the make repairs easier because I take a real beating from Asian carp. I was just thinking about the netting since it would increase my view of the water while fishing and keep the carp out while under way.
