I was out on the water a few weeks ago and smelled gas. I shut things down and crawled around to find like a chunk out of the gray fuel line between tank and motor. It was running pretty good. My only option at that point was to grab my first aid kit, put on a couple waterproof bandaids and then wrap it in medical tape like vet wrap.
This seemed to stop the flow, at least long enough to get back up the lake and onto the trailer. I didn't have time then to do anything with it and am about an hour away.
I'd like to be able to purchase the right hose to take with me but it looked like there was some sort of twist lock fitting at the engine side.
Does anyone know what kind of connection or line I need to look for?
Thanks!

You can buy fuel lines at any boat dealership. I think I got my last one at Walmart--a universal fit one. Bass Pro Shops and Gander Mountain also sell them.
You might want to take the old one off first to make sure you get the right diameter, etc.

You simply need a appropriate length of Marine Fuel rated hose with an ID of 5/16" and worm gear hose clamps. I don't know about an 07 Mercury 115/4S but I do know that both my 75 & 90 4S Merc's do NOT use a primer bulb. If your's has one I would assume it correct and also get a quality replacement for it too. 9 year old fuel lines are past due for replacement.

No primer bulb on this one either but it does look like some sort of factory twist lock arrangement on the engine side. Guess I'll see if I can get the whole thing off next trip and match it up. I was hoping to replace it without the extra trip.

What's special about marine-rated fuel hose? I don't like it--it gets rigid pretty quickly, and stiff in the cold, too. If a special rubber is required for marine use why aren't the primer bulbs made from it?

The reason for Marine Rated Fuel Hose is that it must meet USCG regulations for 2.5 minute fire resistance as well as permeation resistance for the EPA too...
Primer Bulbs are made of dual layers with an inner and outer bulb so that likely allows for different material to be utilized....
