Outboard Motor Cowling/Decals Care
How do you keep the manufacturer decals from peeling from the heat and sun? I keep it covered when not using the boat. Wondering if regular car wax would work or are there better products to prevent sun damage? The Yamaha Vmax has a large decals.

My motor sports a cover by Outdoor Covers and Accessories - basically color coordinated neoprene, that fits like a glove, and never comes off, unless I'm pulling the cowl.
I should have ordered it with a horsepower graphic...like "37".

They started peeling on my 2006 toon. I ended up replacing them. They were more expensive than they needed to be...
I'm definitely using the 303 on my new one.

How often is 303 applied on the decals? I'm using it on the boat seats and completely forgot it would help on the decals.

I would put some on when I had it out for the interior or when I was cleaning the outboard. I just gave our campers graphics a swipe last weekend. Just splash a little on a rag and wipe it on. Takes very little.
