Hi everybody!
What do you guys think about those individual seat covers? I'm talking about the ones that will cover the console only, and each individual seat.
I saw one somewhere. My thinking is they might be easier to maintain than the entire boat cover.
Opinions?

Re: Boat Covers
I have them on my boat Rick.
When we're up at the lake and using the boat for the whole weekend I will take the playpen cover off and use the individual seat covers when so that I'm not taking off and putting on the big cover every time we use the boat. The only exposed interior is the floor and any interior sections of the fence.
I suppose they would work full time if you want to switch though. I can't think of any disadvantage other than leaving the floor open to the effects of the sun.

Re: Boat Covers
Rick... I keep my boat in a storage space that is completely covered, but open on each end at the gables, meaning nice breeze most of the time, but also dust... Rather than fight with a full boat cover every time, during the fishing season we just cover everything individually.. we have separate covers for 3 fishing chairs, the captains chair and the console... I couldn't find anything but center console covers ( which my boats helm is on the right side ) so I bought one just to see how it would work.. surprisingly there's just enough room between the right side of the helm and the railing so we can slide the cover all the way down to the deck.. works great... the only thing I couldn't find a cover for is the one "sofa" that curves with the railing... we just put a big ol sheet over that and use good ol fashion clothes pins to secure the sheet to the railing. Takes us less than 3 minutes to cover all the seats and lock her down. now once fishing / boating season is done I will go back to using the custom cover that covers the complete boat...

Re: Boat Covers
I went to great efforts to purchase Duralast fabric and make individual seat covers for my pontoon boat. I got tired of all the spider poop coming from the ceiling of my boathouse staining my beautiful seats.
Problem is keeping the seat covers on the boat. The lake is susceptible to big thunder storms, and we had 50 mph winds in a storm last week. Velcro didn't begin to hold my seat covers.
I'm just thankful to have an oversized boathouse that at least keeps the water and weather off my boat.

Re: Boat Covers
Thanks for the input. I realized the floor would be exposed. Seems easier to do the individual ones. We'll see.
