Got out again!

#1 Post by curtiscapk » Fri Aug 20, 2021 11:22 am

2nd trip this year. Everything went super smooth. Except the 25 dollar ticket Paula got for parking in the grass. If there's spots open you have to take them but if there's not you can park in the grass. BS rule... We've gotten blocked in a bunch so to make it easier she's just been pulling into grass.

Hard to believe the rebuild is 8 years old!
THE FLOATER hit her max with the new prop as well 23.2!

That rig looks really good to have eight years on it; congrats on some fine work! :bowdown

Those pics with no top showing look really strange to someone from the deep south. Our boat wouldn’t even leave the dock without at least one top on it. :herbshome

Totally agree with Rick - The FLOATER still looks great! I know you're enjoying it. :nana

I noticed you put the bimini up at some point, but I'm like Rick, I barely get off the lift before at least one of the biminis is up - MINE! :fyou

Enjoy!

Thanks guys! It took some work that's for sure! We normally cruise with it stowed then open it up once anchored for the mutt.... Here she is stripped to the bones!

So....what is "parking in the grass" :donno

Sounds like a bs ticket, young guy at work got one for no life vest in bass boat....he unloaded boat into truck(poles, tackle boxes and vests) and went to put boat on trailer......blue lights....

yep some new rule. If there's spots available no grass parking. Problem is jackoffs cut to sharp and jam me in. One time had to unhook trailer push it out to aisle then hook back up!

Glad to see you getting out!

This is a great time of year. We don't even ask "if" we are taking the boat out. We ask "Is this going to be a One Drink cruise or more?" With the temperatures we are seeing, we don't need the Bimini deployed. Even a quick 5-10 mile run can be an attitude corrector.

It takes 90 seconds to lower the boat, so we go out most afternoons/evenings depending upon what time I quit work. When I pull in the driveway and see a cooler on the dock, I know we are going. Last week, I pulled in at about 4:15 PM and two of my Grandkids (they live 90 minutes away) were standing there with their life vests on - grinning at me. One of them handed me a cold one and asked "So, do you have any plans?" :lol3 :lol3

We discovered that you don't need to be wealthy to enjoy simple things. (We run a 20 year old boat and live in the cheap seats at the lake)

Life is good.

Thanks! NHA! We're thinking of a trip to your lake next year. Any camping spots we can beach the boat overnight?
