how long does it take fuel to go bad

well i am getting ready to head down to the lake for the first trip and was wonder about the gas. it has been sitting since last august. Do you all think it is bad...no i didnt do any gas stabilizer. it was just the gas and mix.

Gas starts to go bad after only about a month. After 2 months, I wouldn't even use it. You are talking 10 months! Don't use it, you'll be sorry.

It could cost you to rebuild your carbs so get fresh gas!

My buddy does the same thing, no stabilizer just fuel and oil. Now he is oil injected so that gives him a little better chance of it running. I tel him every year he better treat his fuel and he says been ok so far. This spring he is having some problems with start up and idle. I just smile and say call if you need a tow.

i am not that stubborn...i am draining it and doing fresh gas no problem...save 15 bucks is not worth the headache

thanks for your help.

nothing like the first trip...spend hours loading all the crap you have saved for the boat all winter...it will be a busy weekend...others fishing and me working :) oh well...the life of a boat owner

30 or less for shine gas
