Need help in new toon choices

Friday evening I put her in the water, I sitting there with about 12 friends and family, turn the key and ....nothing. Motor doesn't even react at all. I know is it in neutral, is the lanyard in the kill switch, batteries charged, check, check all in order. 3 of the 12 are all boat owners, so we start checking fuses, connections, etc.....nothing. So I call the salesman on his cell at 9pm on a Friday night, leave him a message. He CALLS me right back, tries to troubleshoot basically the same stuff, says call in the dealership in the am. Saturday morning I am on the phone with the dealership's mechanic for 35 minutes.....nothing. I not mad, just really disappointed. So my brother in law comes over and we take a slow and methodical process in checking everything out. We are just about to give up, he takes the lanyard out of the kill switch and just pulls on the button extra hard and we have ignition. We put the lanyard back in and nothing. So for a simple fix we put a washer under the lanyard to pull the switch out a little further and we are in business. Next the first two hours of break in accomplished, we wait out a potential storm, have a large cook out and then we cruise the canals for the next 2 and half hours, my neice being the DJ on my ipod and 14-16 people (2 trips out) having a great time. Sunday we are out in the ICW and dude on a deckboat pulls up and hollers "want to trade". I'm all smiles and looking forward to a great summer.
