A great day!

#1 Post by lounge lizard » Fri Jun 25, 2010 9:50 pm

This is kind of a whiney thread. With most of the forums posting issues with said vehicles, I had a great day with the toon today. Especially when we bailed and dodged the rain this afternoon. Now the Duramax on the other hand, may have injectors going because of a new knock. Even the boat inspector thought it was a gasser and thought I was throwing a rod as we sat there looking things over. :happy ( that was funny).
I guess Im just saying Im glad the toon was workin good. Now flame on because of my Cheby,,,,,( moon)

Try some 2 stroke in with the fuel as this ULSD is dry on lube, use the cheap stuff from wally world, that where I get my PSD gray at too.

I use a half once to an once per gallon, quiten the engine down and will give you a little better fuel mileage and it good for the injectors too.

I use a half once if I'm running Power service Diesel gray bottle with it, that's even better.

Try in a few tanks, but the engine will quiten down in a few hours of driving.

Yeah, I have been using the 2 stroke oil for several months. I just ran a tank of diesel cleen and just filled it again with a double dose. I also added some oil this time. Im hoping,,,,

When my Cummins starts getting slow to start, a little slower in accelration or gets louder than I like, I go up on the Power service diesel gray I use to make sure the injectors are getting cleaned.

I should use it all the time, but do run out and go a few tanks without it but try to keep the oil in most fill up's, I may get a little better mileage, but the engine is a whole lot quiter than running on just USDL.

What year Duramax ? The 2001-2004 have a special 7 year, 200,000 mile injector warranty. I had mine replaced in my '04 @ 85k.
